1.) Ever since they could remember
She'd been quite a curious child,
In fact, the best word for her was WILD!
She was the kind of student
Who could drive a teacher bananas
She wandered off, she wouldn't learn grammar
So they'd shake their heads and say....
Chorus:
You're going in the out door, up the down staircase
and what's even more, your feet aren't on the floor
you're walking on the ceiling - isn't she a sad case?
Backwards, backwards right to left
and upside down forever more,
upside down forever more.

2.) She was the kind of woman
who wouldn't take no for an answer.
She'd make her odds, she'd take her chances
she'd often get in trouble
she would bypass the proper channels
she would do whatever came natural
and so naturally they'd say
chorus
3.) The people who accused her
they never took the time to explore her
She didn't care - they usually bored her!
She often thought of flying
far beyond the limits of reason,
far beyond the range of their teasing,
and breezing by, she'd say,
"I'm going in the out door, up the down staircase....."
Last:
Upside down forever more!
