Related: About this forumProject 2025 Traps Women at Home. It's not just about abortion.
https://jessica.substack.com/p/project-2025-abortion-explainerThis is a must read, in my humble opinion.
...(Project 2025) is really the confluence of multiple attacks that makes Project 2025s regressive vision for women so clear. Girls growing up without sex education; funding for birth control rerouted to marriage promotion programs; pharmacists refusing to dispense contraception and employers refusing to cover it; support that used to go to daycare now encouraging you to stay home. And, of course, no ability to end a pregnancy ever, for any reason.
What better way to force women out of the public sphere than ensuring that were forever pregnant?
Project 2025 calls for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to become the Department for Life. Under this new name, the government would track womens pregnancies, including abortions, miscarriages and stillbirths; dismantle sex education; replace birth control programs with fertility awareness and marriage promotion programs; allow employers to refuse birth control coverage; allow healthcare providers and pharmacists to refuse to dispense medication they morally oppose; and divert child care funding into programs that push women to stay at home.

(1,876 posts)4. Wanting to keep women out of the public sphere has been obvious all along.
Hiding it behind religion and claiming it was only about protecting innocent life was just a gimmick. I must say, though, that Project 2025 is making it impossible to ignore any longer,

Additionally, HHS (Department of Health and Human Services) should return to being known as the Department of Life by explicitly rejecting the notion that abortion is health care and by restoring its mission statement under the Strategic Plan and elsewhere to include furthering the health and well-being of all Americans from conception to natural death. Return to being known as Department of Life? Was it ever widely called this in the past?
Reject the notion that abortion is health care. WTF
None of the white guys at Heritage Foundation should have access to the bodies of women.
Far-right radical wingnuts.
