In Powell, TN, a 15 year old boy stabbed a 13 year old girl on a walking trail near a community pool.

Malakiah Harris is the murderer. Savannah Copeland was his victim.
He's in custody, now in juvenile court, maybe it'll be moved to adult court.
I sincerely hope it is.

I'm sick of this shit, of men killing women at the drop of a hat. News doesn't say, but I'd bet
he was interested in her and she wasn't interested in him.

The boy was fourteen and Tristyn was thirteen. He stabbed her 114 times. For months I was trying to find the motive. The last I saw they were still saying the motive was "unknown." But my guess was the same as your guess about this new case.

At that age I was still making monster models and playing with Star Wars toys.

I first saw it on Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. It's a form of sadism, and a sexual disorder where the urge to have intercourse is sublimated into penetrating the victim with sharp objects such as pins or knives (as an ersatz phallus). In the episode, the suspect used long, fancy hat pins to stab women in crowds, then kept the pins as trophies..

See: Jack the Ripper.

I know this happened in the past also but I think we are entering an era of a new level of insanity
