Cannot find the answer to ssdi question

I get $1970 /mo on ssdi. I worked low-paying stressful jobs for that. I'm the beneficiary of a $900/mo pension and my own small pension I'll try to get early at 60.

I'm worried my SSDI will lower if I get these pensions. I did pay SS tax on my pensioned job, so I'm assuming the windfall doesn't apply here.

I hate to sound paranoid, but I don't trust this country to do right by me.

While retirement benefits impact your SSI benefits, these private funds usually do not change your SSDI amount. If your pension or retirement plans come from an employer that did not withhold Social Security taxes, your monthly payments may be affected.

It sounds as if SSDI is NOT affected IF the pension employer withheld SS tax.
