FEMA, Navy sends medical team to help strained St. Louis hospital

The United States Navy will send a team of 40 medical personnel to a St. Louis hospital.

The State of Missouri requested help from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

FEMA and the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency responded with a team of doctors and nurses. They will help at BJC Christian Hospital.

Governor Mike Parson's office announced the aid. “This team will help support our dedicated local medical professionals who work hard each day to care for Missourians," said Parson in a statement. "The best way Missourians can help aid our hospitals and health care workers is by considering vaccination to protect themselves and their families.”
