Alternative to Paxlovid for Covid

Several weeks ago spouse had severe stomach pains. No fever, no other Covid symptoms and initial testing was negative.

Two days later it was a faint positive.

But... with a kidney damaged from too many Aleve while long distance cycling, Paxlovid was out of the question.

So the drug used was Lagevrio. Apparently still experimental but is recommended to individuals with high risk.

Has been OK since. I was tested negative.

Just some info if one needs.

1. Yes. It is an alternative under Emergency Use Authorization. NOT FOR PREGNANT WOMEN though
