(14,663 posts)I've had it for 7 or 8 years and I don't trust it at all. Unfortunately I don't have a medical professional in my house to give me accurate readings.

(34,016 posts)Woke up one morning and didnt think it was a big deal, told her I felt really tired and was going back to bed. She grabbed my wrist and took my pulse. After a few seconds, she said Im going to the ER. What? Got there and my pulse was 26 BPMs and very weak. I got out a few days later with a pacemaker.

(34,016 posts)two months tomorrow. Lived together for 5 years.
Another time she got me to the ER when wouldnt have gone on my own. At first they thought it was Covid. 3 negative test and found out it was sepsis. Much more deadly than Covid and early treatment saved me.

(18,585 posts)You hit the jackpot when you met her! Insisted go husband to ER Sunday. His has COPD that is usually manageable. Started with cough that wouldnt stop and then trouble breathing. They admitted him and turns out he has influenza A and para influenza. Finally he started improving yesterday and big progress overnight. Fingers crossed he goes home tomorrow or Sunday. All the blast of meds dramatically took his short term memory loss to full on confusion but that too has really improved this morning! Yippee! Wives rock, haha!
I think weve had nutrition/ food exchanges. What they call a heart healthy diet includes bacon and eggs! Ive eaten enough salad, roasted potatoes and garden burger to last for years!
