(4,261 posts)I don't think it does. I did get a bit frustrated with it, but once you really want to know the answers...i found time to watch it to the end. There is more than one surprise.

(12,877 posts)I found The Stranger similar to Broadchurch in it's appeal. Then I searched for other Harlan Cobin stories and found The Five, which I actually thought was a little better. My only complaint is that such terrific stories have such generic titles.

(71,021 posts)It is based on a Stephen King book of the same name...not exactly the same but very good. It has Holly who made her first appearance in Mr. Mercedes ...she still runs Finder's Keepers detective agency. It was on HULU for a while but is now seen on HBO Max.

It is one of my favorite series.
