(10,886 posts)1. So did we
Didn't know there was going to be a season 2. The end of season 1 was horrifying enough. I don't generally go for the horror stuff but it was pretty good.

Spoilers: Don't read if you don't want to know what's going on in the series.
I don't like zombie series, but this isn't exactly a zombie series.
The fact that the changelings are coming back for currently living people is different. You have the one for the boy who died and the sister who died, But then the woman who was older than the chandelling that came back, and finally the one that came back as the current age of an existing person. So it isn't one set process.
To me they are coming back for a reason. The boy to get his Mom and Dad back together, the girl of the older woman (Gunhild) to get her to reconnect with Thor and have him meet his son. Then Asa, sister of Grima came back to let her sister know it's ok about her death and to get on with her life. Finally Grima's double appears and her reason for returning was to heal Grima's relationship with her husband. That's my analysis for what it's worth.
So to me the theme is they come back to do good and then die again. Now this may change in future seasons, if there are ones. But right now that's what it looks like to me.

Katla Season 2: Release Date
Officially, the series has not yet been extended by Netflix. However, this is not surprising as it has only just appeared. Normally, Netflix takes four to six weeks to check the number of hits and then make a decision.
That means we can expect an announcement from July 17th at the earliest. Should the series be extended, the new episodes will probably not appear until mid-2022. Because there is usually a year between two seasons of a Netflix series.
Katla Season 2: Action
Season 2 is likely to see even more people returning from the dead. Therefore, we should see how the residents of the small town of Vik handle it this time. The secret of the underground meteor that is responsible for the strange phenomenon should also be further explored in Katla Season 2.

(22,714 posts)3. I have been thinking about watching this
I am already obsessed with the current volcano so why not watch a horror story centered around the volcano under the glacier.
