My Unorthodox Life on Netflix
We just finished watching this short reality series. It's centered around a former Orthodox Jewish woman who left her marriage in her 40s and became an uber successful CEO of a model agency in NYC. 3 of her 4 kids are young adults and have also left the Orthodox lifestyle but her youngest child is in high school and splits his time between her and her ex-husband and he seems pretty intent on remaining Orthodox. It was a pretty interesting reality series and I hope they make a second season.
Edited to add.....what most impressed me about this woman is that she basically had no formal education and that she was able to become so successful and the advice she gives her kids about life and careers was excellent. It was also interesting to hear that even the Orthodox men don't have any education past high school so when they break out into the secular world, they have a tough time finding themselves and figuring out what type of career they want to pursue. The whole Orthodox lifestyle felt very backwards to me.

interesting. She not only left the orthodox life, she gave it a double middle finger.
Random observations
- She talks about not liking uncomfortable shoes. I have a hard time believing the shoes she is sporting are in the least uncomfortable.
-She has a great figure.
