Army of Thieves on Netflix is strange, exciting, very entertaining. I recommend it. NT (Original Post) Binkie The Clown Nov 2021 OP

I've liked that one ... less.

Not cause I don't enjoy zombie movies with violence and gore and boobies, cause I'm fine with that stuff, but so far it's just not as good of a movie in general so far (about 1 hour in).

I didn't recognize a single actor in it but they were all very good and I look forward to seeing them in other projects. I liked the way they showed the innards of the lock mechanisms as Sebastian was cracking them, and playing out the whole Ring Cycle connection, like the audience is familiar with it, even though most of us, including me, are not. So they avoided having a lot of violence, the thieves are actually pretty decent folk for the most part, the thematic backstory of the safes is kind of obscure, and the challenges didn't seem all that challenging—almost a parody of heist movies, but it works.

Seasons later, I wanted to watch some other show on HBO, maybe "Curb Your Enthusiasm", and I thought I'd catch the end of GOT to see if I might like it because the show had a lot of buzz by that time. In that episode, two guys were fighting and it ended when one of them crushed the head of the other with his bare hands. So I thought, if this sort of thing happens every episode I probably don't want to see more.

I've been doing movie reviews for the paper for the past eight months. Lots of fun! Doesn't exactly pay a lot, but I enjoy doing it.
