Aftermath on Netflix
As a haunted house movie, it seemed good enough. Not great, but okay. Of course, every haunted house film pales next to Haunting of Hill House.
The ending, though, had me wondering why I'd wasted the time watching it. Predictable and disappointing. I'd be interested if anyone liked it better than I did.

(2,349 posts)By the writer & director of The Haunting of Hill House, along w/ a number of the same actors, I would argue that it redefines the horror genera in very interesting and unexpected way.

(47,451 posts)I watched it twice. It was one of the most amazing things I've ever watched on a screen. The ending haunted me for days after I first saw it. (I should mention I'm Episcopalian, and our service is much like the Catholic service, so Christianity is part of my life.) I can't explain the story without a bunch of spoilers, but it turned the genre on its head.
Bly House didn't float my boat, but The Turn of the Screw doesn't have a lot of scary parts. I think I may go back and try it again, though.
