I love the actor, Ansel Mount (who was tremendous in "Hell on Wheels" ) and I'm aware that some of the other Star Trek spinoffs had some great casts as well. So, given I have a couple of months of free Paramount + access, I think I just might tune in.

In spite of knowing my heart is going to be broken by poor writing, I am excited for this series.

I actually enjoyed the first episode of the second season of Picard (for me the first season was a horror show and it looked like that were soft rebooting out of it). Then they introduced an alternative timeline. I don't want an alternative timeline. I want a continuation of the TNG timelime you talentless hacks.

I haven't been happy with what Viacom Paramount has done with Star Trek for quite a while (starting with the Abrams meh Star Trek generic action flick which went to the incredibly insulting Out of Darkness).
