"The Murders at White House Farm" on HBO Max

In this six-part series, a middle-aged couple, their daughter and both of her young twin sins are found brutally murdered in their Essex farmhouse, and everything points to a murder-suicide perpetrated by the daughter, who had a history of drug abuse and mental illness. But by the second episode, you'll know who the real killer is, along with a dogged police detective (Mark Addy) who battles resistance from higher ups to pursue the investigation.

This is a true story and the efforts by the police administration to sweep the case under the rug will infuriate you but along the way this is a well-acted, well-paced police mystery full of the character insights and forensic details we've come to expect from British procedurals.
