Nine Perfect Strangers on Hulu

From Wiki

Nine Perfect Strangers is an American drama streaming television miniseries based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Liane Moriarty. Created by David E. Kelley who also developed the series alongside John-Henry Butterworth, the series premiered on August 18, 2021, on Hulu.

Nine strangers from the city gather for a 10-day retreat at Tranquillum House, a health and wellness resort in the fictional town of Cabrillo, California,[6] which promises to transform and heal the guests who stay there. The resort is not what it seems to be, and the guests are about to discover many secrets about each other and the resort's host.

David Kelley and John-Henry Butterworth developed the series. Kelley produced The Practice, Boston Legal and Ally McBeal.

I happened upon it when it came up after watching Only Murders in the Building. It stars Nicole Kidman as the woman who runs the health and wellness place. I thought it was excellent, except a little too scary and is partly a horror miniseries.

I liked the cast. I then read the book which was a little different...it has been a while so I do not really remember what the big differences where.

I will watch most anything that has Bobby Cannavale in it or Michael Shannon.

Since I cannot seem to remember the differences I guess I will need to watch it again AND listen to the audiobook again.

I thought the whole thing was beautifully shot with such an uncomfortable story, I guess I should say with such uncomfortable stories that all seemed to be going one way then it was not. A lot of times I hate that but this did work I thought. Anyway, yes Bobby Cannavale. I would like to see more of him.

I stuck with the entire season but I hated the last half of it. Too much nonsense and bullshit going on that really stretched believability.
