The Lorenskog Disappearance on Netflix

We watched The Lorenskog Disappearance over several nights. It's a limited crime drama series based on a true story in Norway of a billionaires wife who was kidnapped in 2018. Overall it's engaging and entertaining, but just know going in that the crime was never solved, so the ending is a bit abrupt and unsatisfying. But the story is told from the viewpoints of the police, journalists, and informants who worked the case and shows all of the various leads the police followed up on over the years they investigated. Unfortunately none of the leads led to solving the case and the kidnapped woman has never reappeared nor has her body been found.

Overall, I would recommend the series if you are into crime dramas.

I hate the ones that aren't solved. Get you all interested then it falls flat. n/t Peregrine Took Nov 2022 #2
