After Life

A little slow on watching this but when I started we binge watched. What a brilliant show! I cried, I laughed and, at times, felt a myriad of emotions all at once. In all the years we have been together I never saw my hubby laugh as hard as he did during episode 5. Ricky Gervais was awesome. In fact the entire cast was great. Every. Single. One. Netflix hit it out of the park yet again.

I binged on After Life, too. Ricky Gervais has such talent for portraying the most tender human emotions. He wrote, produced, and starred in Derek, which is about a man with limited intelligence who works at a senior facilitiy outside London. It's also beautiful and brilliant.

2. I just "discovered" Ricky Gervais. I enjoyed After Life so much that now I am watching "Extras"

with/by him. I'll try "Dereck" later.

Couldn't get into "The Office UK" I guess because I watched the US version and liked it better,

He says he is overwhelmed by the positive responses to After Life, and is already working on Season 2.

6. This is kind of a take off of The Invention of Lying

also by Gervais and also like his dentist character in Ghost Town. He reminds me of a doctor I worked for. He had the most sarcastic, cruel wit, and at first I thought he was horrible, but he grew on me, and eventually I really liked him. People in general did like him, but he said whatever he felt like saying.
