(6,140 posts)Her spirit is still in the bardo, a place where the spirit transitions from the earthly sphere, to either enlightenment, or rebirth.

If this is the case, she will be aware of your songs, and comforted by them as she prepares to enter her new existence. Your songs give her permission to go ahead and leave this world for her next adventure.
You have honored her well in this life, and into the next.
Take good care of yourself.

(14,597 posts)I lost Mrs. KY in 2019 and most all of my close friends within a year's time to death. The anniversaries, birthdays, etc. just keep coming and going and the house is filled with reminders of her and days gone by since 1965 when we married. I no longer have anyone that remembers my sobriety anniversary from 1990 so I get to celebrate alone.
But things seem to get better as time goes by and I'm finding new hobbies and other interests to stay sane. Some days all I have is some good music, my song birds if I'm lucky, a chat with one of our two kids.
Best of luck my friend and keep sharing. It helps all of us stay sober a day at a time.
KY.......
