Anyone interested in a forum dedicated to End of Life issues?

Last edited Fri Mar 4, 2016, 05:02 PM - Edit history (1)

Am x-posting in Cancer and in Health / Chronic conditions. I think I need just 10 supporters to pull this off.

The forum is not the standard what-should-I-expect-from-my-cancer-diagnosis, or how-do-deal-with-x-disease, but more for people for whom life is known to be closing out, discuss the best practices of what you should do legally (power of attorney's, etc.), where your status is (hospice, etc), what you want to (or should) leave behind for others (for instance passwords to stuff, personal letters, etc.). It's also open to people in the position with other people/family facing EOL issues of their own.

If interested, please respond to this thread. If you think this is redundant of another thread, please let me know so I can check it out, but on first glance I don't see anything so focused.

Peace to you all.

On edit: Under DU rules, I need 10 agreements to make it happen. If you're interested, but just not posting, please post. Otherwise it'll not happen. Thanks

I was diagnosed and treated for endometrial cancer three years ago. Though I am, at present, cancer-free, that diagnosis is one huge wake-up call. And I am the caregiver for my 92 year old mother, so I'm interested in the subject from both points of view.

although it is a difficult topic for all of us on this forum, we'll all experience this someday.

It's not easy to actually hear the words, because we're all led to believe we'll live to be 100 or whatever (in my case, 80), but it looks like that's been advanced a few decades. This is a good forum (I mean Cancer Support) to lean on. You can PM me privately or ask for a phone # if you'd like anyone to talk to. Wish you the best.

Probably 40 supporters between them, ignoring some duplicates. I've posted it to Ask the Administrators, so I'm just waiting to hear back.

I need a forum like this too.

Thanks
