Are there support groups for people suffering from Stage 3 or 4 liver disease?

I'm not asking for myself but a very dear, sweet friend who is finding herself feeling alone and hurting physically, mentally and spiritually.

Request from my friend Deb that I'm copying and pasting here:

Does any of my FB friends know anyone that is in Stage 3 or 4 with Liver Disease? Please have them FB me, I need to talk to someone that knows what I am going through..doctors act like the liver is something they don't know too much about and I need pain med advise and more..thank you, hope to hear from someone soon.

Thanks DU for any help you can offer!! It doesn't matter if you post the information here or via PM, it just matters that she can get some help and support.

Thanks so much everyone for whatever you can do!!

ETA: If any DUer is a survivor of or in the process of battling liver disease and is participating in any support groups, forums or messageboards - anything at all, please, please let me know! Thanks again.

I ran into one of them myself but it actually requires you to sign up before even reading through the messages.

She having some real problems and don't think she can make a lot of effort searching and sifting through.....if that makes sense.

and into what are some very personal discussions where much information is disclosed.

She might have better luck searching for support groups for people with her disease process, whether it's viral hepatitis, cancer or cirrhosis.

I've not asked specifically the type of LD she has maybe that might help narrow things down for her.

I know she's in pain and depressed and many things are becoming really challenging for her to do that's why I thought I'd try to help filter the searches.

Believe me, I appreciate you and the previous poster's comments immensely.

I wish I could help her more too. She's a gentle spirit. I've never once seen her lash out or express bitterness of any kind and just the idea that she's having trouble getting pain relief and feels so down makes me incredibly sad.

Thanks
