Very suddenly, my right ear plays Middle C whenever I speak.

I have a piano so I know it's Middle C. I haven't had tinnitus before except for some minor ringing now and then.

This is not something i can live with. I'll wait a few days and see my doctor. On the plus side, I love to sing and now I have built-in harmony as long as the key is right.

I have pulsatile tinnitus, intermittently - I can hear my heartbeat in my ears. It’s how I discovered I had Afib. The sound was particularly loud one evening, and I noticed that my heart rate sounded pretty fast. As I paid more attention, I then noticed that there was no regular pattern at all - skipped beats in a totally random occurrence.

I saw a cardiologist, and was put on meds, which have been quite effective for the most part. If I hadn’t been able to hear the rapid and irregular heartbeat, the Afib could have gone diagnosed for some time, putting me at risk for a stroke or dangerous blood clot.

The pulsatile tinnitus may have saved my life.

7. I had an abscess under a rear molar at the top of my mouth.

Something happened to it. I felt it suddenly change. Perhaps it had burst open internally.

From that moment on, I have heard a constant high-pitched whiny sound in the corresponding ear. It's quite bothersome at times. It never goes away.

I think the injury is in my brain, not my ear.

9. lower your caffeine and go low sugar diet for a while

soups. things which don’t make you chew a lot. every little bit helps.

I have no idea if this hokey-looking procedure worked, or if it just went away on its own, but I'm Middle C-free!
