Question about sleep patterns :
I'm coming out of a severe flare of Sjogren's (think Lupus lite). The medication I'm on has resolved the fatigue and breathlessness. In general, I'm out of condition but am working on regaining my strength. Here's the question: I'm sleeping well, but I'm sleeping 11-12 hours a night. Is this my body healing itself after the flare?

Dealing with this means dealing with a lot of stuff healthy people don't have to worry about, like having fewer waking hours in the day.
You sleep as much as you need to.

I finally slept all night Monday, then I caught a cold that has me coughing and waking up. I just buried my head in the pillow and walked to the guest room where my coughing wouldnt disturb anyone else.

(24,008 posts)I sleep those types of hours when I am healing. Having a weak heart makes it easy to sleep any where and any time... I just don't feel myself without at least a12 hour night's sleep.
