PSA - If you go to your local track to walk/jog/etc..

And you aren't in the "fast" group, please please PLEASE use the outside four lanes!

I was out the other day doing "serious" work (800m repeats) relatively fast; the track was quite crowded with joggers, walkers, kids, an elementary school "track team" doing 200m "sprints", and a couple of other serious high-school/adult amateur runners doing sprints and hurdle work. I slammed into a 10-year(ish) old kid from the elementary team when he ran in front of me in an effort to get out of my way (I went wide but he had seen me, cut out at the last possible second, no time to miss) and had a few other close calls; one of the hurdlers almost kicked a little girl in the face!

I don't mind having to weave my way through traffic, that's part of running in the city...but when there's that mich of a mixed crew it's downright dangerous to be in the fast lane. There were some pretty big guys running 100s, a collision with them could literally break bones.

in those outer four lanes - especially wearing dark clothes at night and between the lighted areas! When you're on the track be moving around the track - otherwise, don't be on the track.
