Related: About this forumLooking for healthy turkey in the deli section. Not processed or at least low processing.
These brands look better than some others: Applegate Farms, Kretschmar, Boars Head.
Does the meat have to indicate if it's processed?

(106,488 posts)do what I do and buy the pre-cooked (approximately 4-41/2 pound) turkey breast from Costco (under its own Kirkland brand). Reasonably priced and NO NITRATES!
Ingredients: Turkey Breast, Turkey Broth, 2% or less of sea salt, sugar. Thats it!
I keep it in a glass air-tight container for up to two weeks in the refrigerator, carving off 3-4 ounces most days. I'm sure most would go through it more quickly. You can also refrigerate some and freeze the rest. Good quality.

(106,488 posts)but I have frozen it (maybe a third immediately after opening it, and immediately freezing in a vacuum bag). It did well on thawing.
