My counselor

At my day program quit and already I miss her. Have no clue when I will get a new counselor. Apparently there was a big staff turnover. I hate when this happens.
The anxiety of wondering if I will get a good counselor and the dread of having to tell her my life story, explain my gender/ pronouns.again.
Dread the thought of being stuck with a maga so called counselor..

I hope so much that your fears don't come to pass and that you will soon have a compatible counselor.

Change is always hard to deal with! And especially when you're struggling with your own problems. It can all seem so overwhelming.

I am sorry that I don't have any concrete suggestions as to how to cope with this unfortunate situation.

But do know that I care, as do many of us here! We offer emotional support and I hope that will help.

The world doesn't seem to work like that any more.

I'm not instantly going to trust anyone just because they are a doctor or other licensed health care professional, but sometimes it seems that's what I'm expected to do.

Is an upheaval and I agree I dont automatically trust them. It takes me a very long time to trust people.

(Adjustment Anxiety Disorder)

I cannot handle change, especially if it happens under stressful circumstances. (And, most change does, I am afraid.) So, I feel what you are going through. I wish I had something to offer in the way of assistance, but what I can do is agree with the others. You have support and open arms here.
