I don't sing anymore

LilBit loved to hear me sing live. I don’t sing anymore. Not because I can’t sing, I can. I just don’t have time to sing anymore, every time I stand up, even to pee, LilBit points,”do for me”
Today is Val’s day, I played music , she danced and I sang.
after a year, I havent sung.

I need the music back

I’m ok

And just didn’t for another 50 years. I’ve been in my excellent church choir for the last 5 years. It’s truly filled my life with joy. Do sing as soon as you can

I was a music major for a while. I had a scholarship to FSU for my voice back in 82. I am asthmatic and have had so many respiratory infections over the years that my voice is gone. I used to sing to Heart and Evanescence. But I can't anymore.

I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you bring the music back to your life. Big hug.

I did a lot of singing while I was driving, as loud as I wanted, I knew all the words. Now I only sing from time to time, and some songs remind me of how much sadness. But sing, people should sing it’s good for you. Sometimes I hear the birds singing and I think, they don’t care if they’re out of voice or out of tune, they just sing.

I played violin and piano but my music left me. I have tried to get it back. I can barely listen to music anymore. I miss it but it’s just not there.

Forty-five years as a singer/musician and all it did was destroy me and my absolute joy of music. I just sit here looking at my guitar and synth now. It means nothing to me. Plus, now I am physically becoming less and less able to even attempt to play or sing. No matter. All over with now. Probably for the best.

Loved your words. Keep music in your mind. It really helps me feel younger. So much wonderful music out there. And utube has it all. I can remember hiding underneath the sheets when I was little hoping they'd play Beatles or something. Music is God. Don't tell anyone. Have fun. Cherish having a blast as much as you want!! Love, Miles
PS I love me some Lil bit.

I have discovered what I would consider either scary, healing or just badass. I know it's not new music. New music sounds like TV or too stupid. Or too smart.
Anyway I was going to suggest the absolute genius Diamanda Galas. It's very difficult music. Simply essential for thought. Sometimes, it's more than music!!

Also, the song "it's History " by the Comsat Angels.
For happiness music. There is a band called Beruit. The song is Elephant Gun. Simply better than anything while you're listening to it!

There is also anything Brian Eno was involved with in any capacity. Much Much love to you and yours

Medicaid Fl wants me to believe, that driving four hours a day helps little bit. It wears my body out. I pay the gas , I do the oil changes. My insurance goes up cuz the mileage I drive.
All this is happening, so I don’t sing anymore.

minor medical miracle cleared the muscle spasms out of my throat that had flattened my voice for most of my life. a friend’s hubs is a fantastic voice teacher, and we’ve been doing ft lessons for 2 yrs now.
he’s become a good friend, and our weekly ‘hour’, more like 2, is half singing, half therapy.

it rly brought music to the forefront of my life. had always been in the background. now i have an album that is my ‘get up and go’ music every day. been a good tool.
it’s been good for my soul. i’ve been tracing my family tree and learning my irish history, and learning irish songs has been great fun.

keep singin
