Related: About this forumAn upcoming anniversary
Some years back a group of people got a hold of me and did things that they shouldn't have done. Had me for a month. And there is NO safe way to report it. What happened is irrelevant.
That said, anniversaries relating to particularly bad moments in life can be rough.
Not much more to say other than that, just having a bad few days. Thanks for listening.

(1,409 posts)Not making a separate post of thanks, really not wanting to draw attention to this. Tears are freely flowing down my face. Thank you. "Thank you" seems inadequate, but it's what I have to offer. It's enough to be heard.
I'm seriously okay. And grateful. Just a little damaged.

But we get through those anniversaries and then realize birds are singing, flowers are blooming, friends are here.
Also we have elections to win.
I hope the hard time passes quickly and you remember happiness soon.

(1,409 posts)Given the polarizing nature of politics today along with the rancor and hyperbole that bubbles up in General, it can be easy to lose sight of the fact that people on DU are generally incredibly compassionate when given a chance. I'm glad I spoke up and thank you for hearing me. Things are looking up; anniversaries are just awkward. We hold onto things only for as long as we need them and when they serve no purpose we can let them go. It's a process many, perhaps all of us, go through.
Ah, Frodo...it's a beautiful reference.
