Considering the K-hole

PTSD, unipolar depression from extraordinary teen bullying, youth homelessness, survived a murder attempt by my father, widowed many years ago from the only soulmate who understood and cared.
I've lost count of the times I've been to therapists, taken useless rounds of SSRI's, MAOI's, I refuse ECT, that scares the hell out of me.
But reading lately about the new Ketamine therapy, and curious if anyone here has had it.

i have been curious. a fast acting depression treatment would make a really big difference, imho.

i was reading the other day about an ect type treatment that the va is researching. it would be great if they could sort that out, and make it work more safely.
i am especially interested in it, as my youngest has a real tangle of a brain after many years of undiagnosed epilepsy. sorting out what is mental illness and what is brain injury, etc, has been exhausting. most of the meds only do so much.

it is hard to wait on stuff like this.
i would go for it if it were me.
