depression is sleeping through the day in a dark room. depression is ignoring calls and texts from family and friends. depression is feeling lonely but not wanting company. depression is a disease. It’s called the silent killer for a reason. If you’re still here today, i love you

I have struggled with these afflictions all my life, 22 years ago I finally saw a Dr. For me it's a chronic thing and I won't be cured of them. I strive to follow the medication regimen and counseling sessions, that help keep me stable. I'm so grateful for the community based mental health clinic, that saw me 3 years ago, when I had no health insurance, or money They helped get me back on antidepressant therapy. I still see them, because I have a very limited income and medicare, now. Self care, can make all the difference. I'm still learning, too, but I don't plan to give up.

Blessings and thanks again.
