This little girl reminds me of my daughter. 😁

She's a lot older than the kid in this comic,, but she loves to tell anti-choicers about how she wouldn't exist if her mom hadn't had an abortion (for the same reasons mentioned here) and ask them if they think she shouldn't exist. It throws them for a loop, because it doesn't compute with their pre-existing assumptions about abortion always being a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad thing.

Good for your daughter! You must have given her confidence to express herself on such a hot topic. brer cat Mar 2023 #1

The arguments of many of these "pro-lifers" are extremely binary (0/1) and entitled/narcissistic. The fact your daughter can think in terms of greys, nuance, and sympathy is a great credit to her.

My Mom had an ectopic pregnancy. She almost died, but was saved by her OBG (actually i think he was a Genral Practitioner - remember them? but he knew an ectopic pregnancy when he saw one, and rigged up something to put the blood whe was losing back into her.) Had she dies, I would never have been born either.

Whether the abortion was emergency or "elective" - I'll bet there are a lot of us walking around only because of a previous abortion for our mother - maybe even grandmother.

I have known many women who have had abortions and most are very loving, caring and kind. And their lives were much better as a result of the procedure. I hate it that they are demonized by the right wing.
