Week 7 and I'm down 5 pounds

Last edited Sun Jun 24, 2012, 07:36 AM - Edit history (1)

Hello and Good Weekend Group..
I've been doing weight watchers online for 7 weeks..
I've gone down a bit, then up a little the next week.
And repeat.
But at the end of the day, I am still down from where I started, and I expect a big loss this week. I weigh in on Tuesday.

How is the rest of the group doing?

I go through long periods of ups and downs, eventually followed by the "whoosh effect." Here's my chart showing all my fluctuations - you can see whole months where nothing seemed to be happening - but I'm glad I stuck with it!

I just took new photos, so these are Aug/Jan/Jun:

I started heavier than that but didn't take photos or chart the weight til Aug. I wish now that I had taken photos at the very start, and for the rest of you, I really recommend that you do so you can see and appreciate your progress.

...forward on! I'm feeling great and positive even though I'm at one of those plateaus (for a few weeks now)

Basically my BIL has this scamster annuity salesman in charge of my late MIL's estate and every day brings a new set of excuses of why we don't have our money and/or why we need to buy an annuity with it. Awesome "sinking feeling in my gut" diet, I even went to Olvera Street and sat in front of a basket of chips and salsa for 2 hours with no appetite. THAT never happens....

However don't recommend Impending Feeling Of Doom/ZOMG I Think This Guy Raided Our Inheritance diet! LOL! No kidding though, nothing like a miserable couple of weeks complete with family fights to spur on the weight loss.....

There was a blurb a few weeks ago in one of the Weight Watchers Weekly magazines you get at meetings. The meeting topic was hitting roadblocks. About plateaus or weight fluctuations, it said that you have to remember that, gain or no gain, you still weigh less than when you did when you started. THAT is an accomplishment.

It takes time to figure things out, and learn how to get around the curves life throws.

As for me, this is my sixth week (I think) on maintenance. I'm maintaining.
