The Terrible Tragedy of the Healthy EaterBefore Your Healthy Eating Internet Education:
I eat pretty healthy. Check it out: whole grain crackers, veggie patties, prawns, broccoli. I am actually pretty into clean eating.
After Your Healthy Eating Internet Education:
Those crackers gluten, baby. Gluten is toxic to your intestinal health, I read it on a forum. They should call those crackers Leaky Gut Crisps, that would be more accurate. That veggie burger in the freezer? GMO soy. Basically thats a Monsanto patty. Did you know soybean oil is an insecticide? And those prawns are fish farmed in Vietnamese sewage pools. I didnt know about the sewage fish farming when I bought them, though, really I didnt!

(14 posts)It's too easy to say "Well, it's always something so I'll eat whatever I feel like." No, there are definite things that are more important than others. GMO soy is a good thing to avoid. Gluten is something to be aware of--who knows how many undiagnosed conditions may be linked to gluten issues. I plan to go off gluten in the near future, if only for a few months to see how I feel. It doesn't mean that I will never eat it again but it doesn't mean I will ignore possible problems with it.

(14,489 posts)If you tried to take all the advice on the websites devoted to eating healthy, you'd starve to death, because there would be almost nothing you could eat. There is so much contradictory information out there. Bottom line is that you need to do what works for you. If you think you have a gluten sensitivity, by all means avoid it, but for most people it is not the devil. Veggie burgers may be processed food, but they are better than a Big Mac. Fruit is not evil because it has sugar in it (Yes, I have seen people say you should avoid fruit!).
Basically it boils down to "Don't let perfect be the enemy of good." It's practically impossible to have an ideal diet because every information source about diet has a different opinion on what that is. So eat as many natural, whole foods as you can, and do what works for you, and don't stress out about it.

(5 posts)The wheat is alkaline and the cheeze is acidic so bad food combining. Plus, all that gluten and casein take like a gazillion years to break down!
