5. That is a SCAM

It has been identified as an ongoing email scam. Kohls is not giving away Le Creuset. Stuff found on the internet is occasionally false. Th scam made the same claiom for Target and other department stores.

Holiday scam email season is here. Don’t fall for it.Someone claiming to be Kohl’s really wants to give me a beautiful orange Le Creuset dutch oven.
The email always says this is the chain department store’s second attempt to reach me, although I reckon it’s more like the 50th because I’ve gotten this email many, many times over the last few months. You probably have, too. Maybe it’s not from Kohl’s. Maybe it’s from Dick’s Sporting Goods or Costco. Whoever it claims to be from, the result is the same: You click on a link, fill out some kind of survey, and are asked to enter your credit card info to cover the cost of shipping your free Yeti cooler, Samsung Smart TV, or that Le Creuset dutch oven.

6. I shop Target & Kohl's, never seen LeCreuset in either.

Bed Bath & Beyond used to, and I found a Dutch Oven and grill pan in the clearance section on different trips. Half price, both times it was someone who'd ordered online and apparently sent them back. Boxes were scuffed up, but the cookware was perfect.

I figured this Kohl's thing was too good to be true.

9. Too cheap to be true

I once got a very good deal on a Le Creuset dutch oven:
-went to the Le Creuset outlet store, where prices were about 20% less than retail
-the nice clerk said if we bought any three items we'd get an additional 20% discount, so we picked two very cheap things
-when we were checking out, the nice clerk asked, Are you old? Because it's senior Tuesday and you get an extra 10% off if you're over 55

So we ended up getting all the items for a lot less than the usual discount price of the pot alone. It was still considerably more than $9.95.
