I'm filling wonton wrappers and putting the wrapper and the filling in a cupcake tin instead of sealing them.
The mixture is chopped pork, Savoy cabbage, shredded, and scallion. Sesame oil, ginger, garlic.
Then bake them; there's dipping sauce of soy, garlic, ginger, scallion, cilantro, etc.
Dessert: carrot cake from WF with cream cheese frosting. Hot Earl Grey tea.

(22,850 posts)To start, well split a dozen raw oysters with lemon, horseradish and cocktail sauce. I get to shuck them. What fun.
We had the bones from a couple of ribeyes and the First Mate spent the afternoon making French onion soup. There isnt any Gruyère cheese in our ice box but we do have sliced Swiss cheese. She also baked a small loaf of bread for the soup.
For dessert theres some dark chocolate and a movie.
I needed to order some parts for our Diesel engine that wont arrive until Monday so were stuck in Savannah till Tuesday, (wasnt that the name of a rock band?). I think well do some restaurant hopping this weekend!

I'm still waiting for the bread to come out of the oven, and I need to frost Al's birthday cake. His birthday is tomorrow. I was going to frost the cake tomorrow, but he indicated that he'd enjoy some cake tonight. I can't say as I blame him. It smells delicious.
The bread is oatmeal bread.
The cake is butter pecan (it's a box mix) with cream cheese frosting.
