What's for Dinner, Sat., Feb. 11, 2023

Shrimp cocktail with lemon and horseradish-tomato sauce.

Stuffed squash: chopped onion, garlic, spinach, mozarella, roasted tomatoes, thyme, parsley, and topped with Parmesan.

Small dinner salad with beets and goat cheese.

Earl Grey tea and a little white chocolate.

------------

Last night we went to a Japanese restaurant, one I've tried many times before. One friend had shrimp and vegetable tempura like I did, the other had avocado-salmon-and some other seafood I can't remember.

PJ, I caught your question about what type of show. I'm writing a little summary of it up and will post it in the appropriate forum.

Dark turkey meat and broth frozen from Thanksgiving with long grain brown rice. Some celery, carrot slivers, onion, and limas plus garlic.

I put the ? after soup because it has little broth that hasn't been absorbed. Maybe I should just call it turkey and rice.

Ms K thawed three lbs of ground beef so I'll grill us a couple fatties tonight and make a meat loaf tomorrow, then see how much is left.

Haven’t had one in years and the price was good at the market. Roasting them on a bed of baby carrots and will add fresh peas toward the end. Rice with garlic and mushrooms.

but remembering taking them camping frozen and they served to keep my cooler contents cool. When thawed I'd cook them over the campfire. Often they would be spatchcocked to hasten their cooking because we were hungry now!
