at the butchers I saw some of their famous wieners. Actually, I called them hot dogs and the butcher corrected me. Anyway, I haven't had one in a long time, so we are grilling a couple of those for tonight's supper along with a nice big veggie/lettuce salad.

I'm glad it's an easy supper because we just finished making 48 raviolis, and are tired. Popped them in the freezer to take them along on a "road trip" to visit kids as we are bringing supper. I'll make homemade pasta sauce on Monday as we're heading out on Tuesday.

We ran out of the meat filling for the last twelve, so I quickly made a ricotta filling, and it actually tastes really good!

We’re in Savannah waiting out another wind storm. There’s a local restaurant within walking distance of the marina where we’re staying and it’s the Chef’s night off!

We’ve decided to start with fried green tomatoes. The boiled platter comes with shrimp, crawfish, snow crab, potatoes and corn on the cob all drenched in a special thick spicy sauce. Cole slaw on the side. Pecan pie for dessert.

So good! Grate a few tablespoons of fresh ginger, the zest from two limes, add a half cup of mayonnaise and marinate boneless skinless thighs for a couple of hours. Let come to room temp and then grill.

Also, sushi rice and a kale salad.
