Stuffed tomato, along with small stuffed sweet peppers.
I have some crab stuffing left from my previous stuffed mushrooms. I think I will do a stuffed tomato tonight using this freshly picked tomato from my garden. It has ripened considerably since I picked it. It is a beefsteak.
Now it's all red.
BTW, my first 2 beefsteaks from these tomato plants had blossom end rot. I was just sick about this because I had put these tomatoes in way back in April. April 7, which is early, but I used red mulching sheets to warm up the soil.
I read up on blossom end rot and learned that it can be caused by erratic watering. I made a special effort to water every single day and it solved the problem immediately.
In addition to the stuffed tomatoes and peppers, I'll have a tossed green salad made with romaine and ruffly red tipped lettuce. Radishes, carrots, red onion, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, topped with Thousand Island dressing and garlic parmesan croutons.
Tart cherry kombucha.
Dessert: Mixed watermelon, cantalope, and cherries. Toasted waffle.

along with 4 ears of corn. Looking good, except for brewing storm!
Tried one of the corns. Not great, barely 'good.' Disappointed, as this is/was the patch where I'd buy a couple when driving by a few years ago, and hugely enjoy raw, just out of the car.
