What's for Dinner, Sat., Aug. 5, 2023

Vegetable kebobs using cipollini onion from the garden, green peppers, yellow crookneck squash, and tofu marinated in peach-BBQ sauce.

First, though, I'll have sushi appetizer (crab rolls) that I picked up for tonight.

Peach pineapple kombucha.

Dessert: Cantalope, Earl Grey iced tea.

Stew beef with the usual veggies plus unusual for us, small yellow potatoes and tomatoes.
I'm also having a very thick heel from a Jewish Rye bread, toasted, and very buttered

Afterwards I'll have some low carb flavored yogurt with some almonds and fresh strawberry slices.

Edit to add: The flavor of yogurt is banana cream pie.

The pasta has a Trader Joe's label. We got it from the food bank. They're not bad.

Rule of thumb, ppl grilling in an empty lot with cut in half barrels and a sign saying, 'XYZ Church welcomes you' stop & try the food.

toast with tomato, bacon and cheese, heated until the cheese melts. I vastly prefer these to BLTs. Also sweet corn, because August in Iowa. Just a simple supper after four hours in the car today, but got to see our younger son, so well worth it.
