That salad I made from the Winter Salads thread yesterday was so fantastic but it was also a lot of work. Wore me out. So I think for tonight I will just have a bowl of chicken soup and change it up with some additional vegetables. So far it's just chicken soup with broth, carrots, celery, and onions, but I might add baby spinach leaves and some seasonings from the Ripert collection. It will be fun to choose: there are so many combos.

I thought another poster's comment about the two salad dressings being similar was a helpful observation that would cut down on the work.
I also mixed up some cornbread muffins, to which I added cheddar cheese and shishito peppers.

(250 posts)Wife has Thai-themed soup simmering. Curry paste, butternut squash, coconut milk, onions, rice. Shrimp near the end.

(4,613 posts)Shredded smoked pork shoulder, cabbage, carrots, scallions, with chili oil and the usual seasonings with a poached egg on top.
Dessert is pineapple upside down cake.
