What's for Dinner, Thurs., June 27, 2024

We're having a little debate-watching party tonight. It's kind of a potluck, but this is what I've been told:

Breaded chicken strips with honey mustard sauce.

Cold seafood plate with balsamic glazed salmon and cold shrimp.

Dessert is carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and cheesecake.

Everyone is bringing their own favorite drink.

I think we will have 35 people. Lots of fun, Bingo, Margaritas and a small silent auction.

I’m having Greek yogurt with mango and banana. Considering my snack options for the debate.

DH had an (off diet) fast food meal, I had a nice rare lamb chop at home. (He's not fond of a quick fry-up, but I am.) Later tonight, it's beer and popcorn.

You gotta take a break from the healthy, sometimes.

a sort of tikka masala made with leftover grilled chicken, and a red lentil dal. I made more dal than we can eat for one meal, so there will be frozen leftovers for a later meal
