The strawberry compote I made a couple of days ago topping a small bowl of vanilla Haagen Daz. Marvelous combination of vanilla and strawberry. Decadent.

1. Lately

Mine has been fresh fruit salsa.
Ripe mango being the star, I have switched up the fruits and I’ve made it hotter each time. Mmmm

Next will be pineapple, mango, apple, red grape. Hittin the palet just right this summer

2. I've found a new joy and passion

for some of the hybrid apples that have come out new (at least to my area) this year. Better for me than eating a cinnamon roll in bed as a luxury. Some of these apples are exceptionally sweet! But compote over ice cream... now that sounds truly decadent! (gryn)

4. If you want to take it to the moon

Get some real balsamic vinegar, the traditional aged stuff from Modena or Emiglia-Romana, and sprinkle some on top. It's quite pricey, but it goes a long way.
