What are your Sunday dinner plans spaghetti here and football.

Italian sausage ground and meatballs not homemade I’m buying them at the local store a brand called Carando also garlic bread and salad. I’m breaking out the Dutch oven and when you see the Dutch oven it means leftovers for sure.

I just woke up a bit ago & have been contemplating a large pot of minnestroni soup.

I finally ordered a bread machine, which is supposed to arrive tomorrow.

Garlic bread is one of life's perfect & most delightful foods imo, & it goes so well with minnestroni (and every other edible food! lol).

I'll be researching bread recipes. I'm leaning towards the copy cat Subway Italian cheesy herb bread to try first which will, of course, need lots of garlic. lol

Enjoy your dinner!

Hugs to your puppers! I'm sure they will "help" you cook.

It involves roughly a pound of smoked Slovenian sausage that will be cut into small pieces and added to…not sure yet. Thinking about stir-frying cabbage, peppers, onions, garlic, then adding the sausage. I’m also conceptualizing some rice dish or other. Probably just go the easy route there. Sounds like a plan. Or is just a concept?

I grew a very pungent, assertive variety this year. Even if it means getting alerts on some Nextdoor site concerning ‘terrible cooking smells’, I don’t hold back. I’ve had it with bland commercial garlic and I’m not going back!

There are two sports events today…Baseball and Football. Detroit Tigers trying to pull into the playoffs and the Mighty Detroit Lions, both starting times are around 1pm.

Sooo…yesterday I grilled up some beef chunks making deconstructed Shish-ka-bob, meat, zucchini, tomato, onions. The veggies are gone but with the beef …today is a quick beef stew by adding some potatoes and carrots, onions cooking in a steamer basket.

By dinner time we could be quite ‘beside ourselves with glee’ * with the prospect of two games being played almost simultaneously. My oldest son and his crew is at the football game…my youngest son and his bunch are at the baseball game…the stadiums are next to each other. The city will be crazed.

*beside ourselves with glee will more than likely be chemically induced.

Sunday

Scallops, shrimp, cod
Bell peppers, tons of garlic, onions
Tomatoes, broth, oregano
Spinach and orzo with a ton of parsley and a ton of dill (1+ cup each)
Fresh lemon juice and red pepper flakes

No footballs (Football? Is that the one with the stick?)
