... go try another one. We've discovered homemade bread make great toast. I also scratch make Neapolitan style pizza - use my hydro grown indoor tomatoes for sauce. I don't know if we save a cent from it, but it seems worth the time and effort.

I do not know how women raised children baked bread, cooked, kept a home and raised children back in the day. My wife just laughs and laughs and laughs at me.

I recently bought a bread machine & have been making a loaf weekly, too.

Sadly, I've not found a recipe I like well enough to repeat.

Enjoy!

How do you like the book? I am thinking about getting it as I am on a sourdough journey here. I've also had the pleasure of taking two classes at the KA facility in Norwich, VT, one for apple pie and the other for scones & biscuits. Great classes!! I love King Arthur Baking Co.!! 🥰

... different types of breads and different national versions. The photography alone felt like I was gaining weight looking at them. I've just went through the last chapter on the different types of flour and it is understandable and informative.

This is going to be a challenge and fun. Wish I could figure out how to post pictures.

If I ever get rich, I want to go to King Arthur's schools. I envy you!

My KA classes were birthday and Mother's Day presents and definitely a splurge. But I've heard their online classes are also very good. Just visiting the KA bakery and store in Vermont is a baker's fairyland and a real treat! If you get the chance, do go!

I am far from an expert on posting images, but I have used www.postimages.org with some success in the past. Hope that helps. I will be looking for pics of your baking adventures!

Although I wish they'd post more often. A couple years ago they got a lot of shit for posting a Pride Month video and lots of "I'll never buy your flour again!" responses.
