Lobster cake with aioli and fresh lemon quarters.
Cold salmon salad with tossed greens and arugula. Also chopped tomatoes and scallion, a little cubed cucumber and celery. All the vegetables and arugula are from the garden. The greens I had to buy, though, as I couldn't get any lettuce going this August.
The salad dressing will be the lightened up Caesar I made the other day.
Cold Earl Grey tea and also a glass of blueberry-ginger kombucha.
Dessert: cherries.

(38,980 posts)I pounded out some boneless/skinless thighs and breaded them w/ some self-seasoned bread crumbs and cooked them in the air-fryer.
Stuffing and salad (red leaf lettuce, tomato, carrots, celery, mushrooms, yellow bell pepper and radishes).
Homemade apple pie for dessert.

a recipe I got from the (small voice) Washington Post. It needs more spice, imho.

(945 posts)I like to sweat all the veggies (diced onion, celery, carrots, red pepper, cabbage, zucchini, garlic) in olive oil, separate from the lentils cooking in water/veggie broth and bay leaves. When veggies are done add them to the lentils which have already creamed out. Add sliced snow peas and mushrooms, chopped parsley and cook for a few minutes more. Hot pepper flakes, ground cumin, salt and pepper to taste. Mmmm
