Related: About this forumWe found a 1957 Coke bottle behind the old cast iron tub...
entire bathroom is gutted and somehow that bottle was stashed in the wall behind the tub. My son thought it was cool. I think we'll leave a beer bottle or something in there before we put the shower in!
Goodbye 1960's aqua bathroom!

(26,691 posts)We did a time capsule in one of my neighbor's bathrooms.
It's kinda creepy thinking I'll be dead when the next demo happens. Assuming I built the bathroom correctly and assuming no (available) advances in human rejuvenation this guy foresees:

As for me, I'd like to make it to 75 or so and then call it a life.
I've thought about leaving some messages and pictures in this house just in case someone decided to keep it. We've made a lot of changes to it even since we bought it. But with the way things are going, I suspect this house is a tear-down. People want all new everything!

(16,504 posts)will someone try and remember what a newspaper was?
I forgot to put a piece of the old tile back there. But my husband was anxious to keep going so I was able to grab a still wrapped paper and place it in before he put the backer board up.

(26,691 posts)The keys probably got pushed behind the wall with the door.
These keys have one of this registration tags from a Veteran's organization (I can't recall off hand which one. DAV?). I remember these from when I was a kid - you sent a donation and they sent you a key chain with your car license plate number on it and a number to call if the keys were found.
We were considering calling the number to see if it still works. Imagine getting a call about your 30 year old lost keys.
