Thinking about backsplashes?

I'm doing some remodeling for my seriously outdated kitchen (1978, never been done before). I don't quite have the funds together yet for the cabinets/countertops/floor, but I did a few things to spruce it up until then. One thing I found is something called Fasade, https://fasadeideas.com. I removed an OTR microwave and replaced it with a SS fan hood. Removal left marks on the wall, and it looked ugly. I wanted to do something fairly temporary (although it doesn't have to be) without using contact paper (ugh), and I found this Fasade product. There are lots of different patterns, I chose this one: https://fasadeideas.com/backsplash/backsplash-designs/traditional-1/

It looks so nice that I may just use this when I finish the kitchen. It's a lot cheaper and easier than tile.

I'm so tired of subway tiles used by nearly EVERYONE... Nice to see an alternative.

I do like glass tiles, but they are PRICEY!

3. The design looks nice but if you cook a lot, which I do, that looks like

that looks like it could be a grease catcher with all the mult-directional nooks and crannies. I have same problem behind my range and am thinking about just a plain thin stainless steel sheet if it is not too expensive.

4. The website

says it's easy to clean, so I'm going with that. I did my homework first I did consider SS, but it was more $$ and it is permanent. This will come down when the cabinets go up, so gives me time to check it out thoroughly.

5. I told a friend about it as an easy way to cover the worn scratched bottom of her end cabinet

She has a sliding door out to a porch right next to end of her oak cabinets that are otherwise in great shape except the wear and tear at the bottom of end cabinet due to pets and people going in and out. She put a sheet of fasade and it looks great and has held up well for past couple of years.
