Best Buy? Has anyone here had any trouble getting appliances delivered from them?

Their customer service number does not appear to have contact with in store purchases
I’m up to the in store manager and the customer service800 #gave me info on what the store will need to do to get my delivery but the manager insists it is not needed and will not do what the BB customer service told me to have the store do
It is not the first issue with the order . It was written wrong for delivery after purchase
I will probably cancel or contact my credit card if it doesn’t come on this next date that customer service said was not set up to deliver but the store claims is....
The 2 depts will not talk to each other so wondering if others have had bad service from them, and is this common?
I went to a small store first but they were rude even before purchase and BB had a sale
I know a friend bought appliances maybe 8-10 yrs ago from sears and it was a bad choice that kept getting worse . I won’t go too far down the hole

Went to the store and got a refund for the hoses. My landlord supplied the hoses.

I'm currently having a huge problem with an oven. We need a free-standing oven with sides, since it's going in a semi-open space. It was confirmed a few times by BB that it had sides.

However, when the new oven was finally delivered four days late (!), which I also complained vociferously about, the oven did not have sides. This was after the installers lugged the unit through several steps etc. We didn't know what to do since the local BB store had not opened, and the wait-time on the BB toll-free customer service number was 1 hour 37 minutes!

The installer said that they had a number of issues with BB's customer service in the last few months, facing considerable delays in getting approvals for work etc. It was clear that the store had no way of communicating with the installers, something that I told them that I found incredible in this era.

The next day, after speaking to the store's general manager and the manager of the appliance department, I went into the BB store that we bought it from. While I was deeply frustrated, when I went in person, they took care of everything, even giving me a much higher-priced oven for the same price that we paid for the oven without sides.

While it was a frustrating experience, I have to say that the in-store management was excellent. They have done everything possible to make it right. The new oven is coming on Friday, and I'll let you know if everything goes according to plan.

Squeaky wheels hopefully do get grease from BB.

is a mess is they are not on the same system and no communication .
Ok I will even understand that but their own customer service will not call the store. Of course this was after an hour wait (which was better wait time than when the order was written wrong for delivery and I had to call)
They already took off the haul away charge for earlier trouble when I squeaked but it is no bargain if it doesn’t get delivered
Good luck on Friday

4. Squeak VERY loudly

and mention you will detail your experience on social media. It often works wonders. Honestly, I squeaked so loudly (but politely) that they had no choice

Yes, installers are independent contractors, but that is no reason whatsoever to excuse this seeming total lack of communication. The installer mentioned that the COO or at least a key operations manager at BB changed some of their practices recently, and that is the cause of a lot of this. Don't know that for a fact, but FYI.

Actually, our installers were excellent, and so was the in-store management when I complained enough. I get to use the oven without sides until they come on Friday, when they take it away and install the new one. They also hauled away our old one during the first install.

Not the greatest experience, but when a company makes it right, I am always willing to give them another chance. In this case, at least for now, BB has done that. Will give you the final story on Friday!

them i want a complete refund. Do not bill me. His solution was to double bill me and then cancel the original -I said no because i have already read online of people never getting that straightened out and you mr store manager would not listen to me yesterday when i told you there was an error .
Guess Whaaaat?? He can not cancel right now- system error . When i mentioned Ritchfield MN and the CeO name he told me he will get me a full refund and keep on it till I do.
I told him i hope I do not have to go to corporate with this and pls call tomorrow with status .

total waste of time and i am not alone but i wish you luck and no need to reply on Friday unless you want to

6. I haven't been in a Best Buy in years.

The last major appliance I bought from them was in 1996. They ripped the screen door off the hinges when they delivered it, and were pissy about paying for it. I went back a couple of years later to buy a $100 microwave. They were only interested in selling the $200 extended warranty.

No more.

have an issue with the delivery we did have a problem with the billing. Even though everything was delivered at the same time it kept showing my oven wasn't delivered which left that portion pending on my card. It took multiple calls and a lot of time on hold to finally fix it.

but helped me set it up and hook it up to my cable/internet system, and then took away the old one. Bought an air conditioner and they put it where I needed it and took away the old one. The service was excellent.
