(3,069 posts)To get paint and they said they didnt know when they would be able to mix my paint because there is a paint shortage.
Went directly across the street to Menards and they matched and mixed my color while I waited.
Not that I dont think there will be a shortage of paint (I do), but I do find it interesting that SW is the only one Ive noticed saying this.

(17,275 posts)that needed a coat of primer - went to SW and was able to get a gallon only because one had been returned - none in stock! And yes, the sales person warned of a shortage........

(12,201 posts)They havent had ceiling white, flat, or light base for awhile. PLUS at the end of September, they added a 4% across the board fee - commercial and residential (I believe corporate was an exception).

Have some art in progress and it would piss me off if my palette was limited because of this crap..

(46,979 posts)Guess it's time to dust off the leftovers and touch up what's there indoors.
Outdoors I have 2 gallons, again should be ok for a couple years.
On the plus side, got good results on an old shed by tinting exterior barn paint with these little acrylic ounces, and cutting 50% with water. Yeah I know, don't do it. But it make for a great semi-transparent on rough wood. Can't imagine it will be any worry.
