(27,378 posts)1. The outside look like Moon Flower seed pods, but those sure aren't Moon Flower seeds.
Those are MUCH smaller.

I never heard of Knicker nut, but since it is a coastal swamp plant that makes sense

but it has the same sounding pain as a cockle burr. I haven't spent much time in swamp land, but I'll bet the flora is wild.
