Question re: raspberry plants

A friends canes are up and putting on some good growth but my goats got out and eat 80% of the leaves. Will they still be able to bear fruit this year? Thanks DU!

yeah I know, they have iron stomachs. My question is will the PLANTS bear fruit. The goats have no problems dropping berries (if you've seen a goat crap, youll know what Im talking about )
